How long have you been racing?
I’ve been racing since 1978. The first track I went to was Oswego in 1978. I was also there the day the tree came down for the last time.

How long have you been racing with IMSM?
This will be our 3rd year with IMSM.

What class do you race in?
This year we will run 2 classes with IMSM. We will be running P/X with the Mustang and we are still undecided about which class to run the Torino in.

What do you race?
The Mustang we race is a 90’s fox body LX coupe powered by a big block ford (Boss Hemi). It’s a back half car. At this time we have it apart in a million pieces up dating the car and making changes. We would like to be out testing and ready for the 2008 season.

What has been you best time as of now with IMSM?
I can’t say for sure because the time slip did not agree with the board and the computer was different yet. It was on a good pass to the 330 and to the 1/8. Best MPH was 159.

How has the 2007 season been?
We have been very lucky, a runner up in 2006 with the Mustang, and championship with the Torino. In 2007 we won a championship with both cars, but most of all changing classes with the Mustang at the last race and taking runner up we were very lucky.
But luck is only part of it, if not for the people involved, like Bill Borsom, Borsomatic Racing Transmissions for the trans, Trans King for the parts and converter, Comp Cams, Pro Systems, Steve Pfeiffer for the machine work, and the crew that helps out when they can. If not for them I would not be able to do this, and for Toni who works side by side with me when she can. Thank you all very much.

How has the competition been in your class?
There are 4 or 5 very tough cars in P/X. I was watching this class last year and this year before I switched to it and I’m sure the other guys will be closer to game on by the time the season starts. There are really no rules to this class except for no electronics or delay boxes, and the cars must have doors. I expect this to turn into a very competitive drivers class.

Has anything been particularly challenging for you since you started racing with IMSM?
Yes, running 2 cars we must be crazy, plus crewing and helping on other people’s cars. This year should be tougher because we will have our 2 cars and a possibility of 6 other cars with one of our engines in it.

What are your thoughts about your class in general?
As long as there is some class sponsorship and good promotion it will be a good class. I think this class will grow to be a 16 car field no problem.

What is your overall opinion of the series since you have started racing?Good, I think it’s coming around. Closing the gap on some of the classes is a good thing. I still think there is room for a rules oriented class and I hope they come up with something.
