Hey, I made it...Larry hunted me down at my site....Like I was telling him, it looks like Joe and I won't be doing much racing this year. We're going to do only the IMSM races, and may have to miss one or two of those...the camaro hasn't even been started on yet, for which I am thoroughly pissed off....although it's not the body shops fault, let me just get that in. So I don't know when the car will be ready. Looks like I may need to get a lawyer. All this over a freakin paint job...

No blower this year, so we'll be stickin with the Street Warrior Class, maybe I can get another trophy outta that one, which would be cool......

And apparently we're gonna be needing a camaro sub-club, if what Phil tells me is true about Larry and Jason with the black mustangs..... [/i]

Jason would be the "White Knight"

its good to hear that you'll be around this year ...

that sucks about the paint ...

you can form a "maro" posse with scott and todd ...

so far we've got the

4 eyed possee...

the black & red Mustang possee...

the ORT Possee....

one more can't hurt ...

The company that makes the primer used on my car is stalling and not returning calls. My car is sitting, with nothing being done until the red tape is cleared up. Although I finally got through to corporate headqurters today, and talked to the bosses, and got some calls back along with a few answers. But there still isn't a answer on who is going to pay for my car to be repainted, which at this point, I really don't care. I have 20 days until I need my car back, so I could care less who bites on this one, but it sure as hell ain't gonna be me.....so, I'm thinking if I threaten with legal action, that may bring them around a bit quicker.....

Typically paint companies will try to blame the body shop, since there is no way for them to determine whether the shop prepped it properly, not to mention there is a lot of loopholes they can use. Also large companies can drag out a court case alot longer than a Indy shop, theyre hopes will be holding out till you give up the fight and theyre off the hook.

Well, apparently it did the trick. Got a call from the boss of the rep who dropped that ball on this thang....and they are going to issue a good faith credit through the supplier to the body shop. So they have finally started on my car, it's like DeJaVu.....seems like we were doing this last minute crap last year too. Thank God I don't have nearly the amount of work to do this year as I did last year.......just a power valve and I'm ready to rock.... :D
